What's that noise in NW Calgary?

Sounds like a helicopter going around and around and around. It's been going for hours this evening, and all day on Sunday.

Nope. Cambrian Heights/Huntington. It sound like a helicopter - but I don't think it is a a helicopter. Namely because it's been going on for two plus hours without a break. And there's no helicopter to be seen overhead.

Hawcs will often circle that long, they're here all the time in the far south, patrolling idiots who try and escape into Fish Creek Park.

And when they have their lights off they can be hard to see.

Like we really need two of these things.

Saw what had to of been a dozen cop cars going somewhere about a hour ago but I was in the Deep South when I saw them.

This literally occurs in the Huntington/Thorncliffe area about twice or three times a week. My wife has actually gone outside at 2 AM to investigate, but couldn't figure out the source of it.

Me, I sleep with earplugs anyway.

I tend to find that it is a helicopter that sits roughly over the police station on 14th beside the winter club

It almost looks like they are in a holding pattern waiting for clearance to the airport.

I have been up on NoseHill and had one sitting over my head for 1/2 an hour it seemed.
