U.S. to allow small knives to be carried onto airplanes
This decision strikes me as odd. I thought some of the restrictions after 9-11 were a little silly but I'm not sure knives are what we are missing as passengers on airplanes. Is there even a good argument from a passenger as to why they might need a small, folding-blade knife on a flight?

Knives are a good start, but we won't feel really safe until we can all have guns.

I can't bring my own beverage past security but I'm more than welcome to bring a small pocket knife on the plane?
Who even thought this was a good idea and why are they in charge of the TSA??

Also I think I read they are allowing hockey sticks as a carry on.

Hockey sticks and golf clubs are allowed. Can't wait for someone to bust their 9-iron over someone's head to end that.

For carry ons? How does that even fit the size regulation?

The article I read mentioned it allowed the agents to concentrate more on explosives. I don't really understand that logic though. I'm all for lessening all the crap we have to go through to get on planes, but have no idea what benefit having a pocket knife provides a flyer, unless they have to make a Macgyver like repair to the airplane or construct a parachute.

It's a conspiratorial move by "The Government" which needs another 9/11 to fool The Sheeple into supporting its global dominating agenda. Explosives are already being built into the new towers being constructed in New York.
Another alternative is its a dumb move by people with short memories who didn't bother asking people on the front lines, flight attendants, what they thought.
Or, maybe it is true that someone with a small knife can no longer get into a cockpit of a commercial airliner in this day and age and therefore terrorists aren't bothering with this strategy anymore and it makes sense to make explosives the real focus.

It's actually pretty stupid. Only two clubs are allowed, so basically only if you want to use them as weapons.

Im sure it's a carry on like a stroller. You check them at door when you're boarding the plane and pick them up as you leave.

Or if you bought a new Driver, putter or wedge when you were south of the border, and don't wan't the Baggage Handlers to re-enact a Stars Wars Jedi light sabre fight with them.
I have decided against buying clubs in the States when I didn't have my travel bag for exactly this reason.
