JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will work with their Cross Functional team (CFT) members to achieve their team goals in the areas of Reliability, Environmental Compliance, Personnel and Process Safety, and People. The Superintendent will direct a diverse execution team to maintain assets while supporting operations goals in meeting or exceeding production targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Lead the maintenance execution team in to meet or exceed the performance target
- Use Suncor management systems to perform and execute functions such as reporting and documentation of work completion and maintenance histories
- Report any workplace incidents regarding safety and performance
- Work with Planning and Scheduling to ensure accurate job plans
- Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure that materials and services are available to maintain costs and schedules
- Work with the Field Support Services to ensure that support resources and services are organized to effectively complete high quality work as scheduled
- Working with Operations to ensure a safe, secured, isolated and protected work area for maintenance work is provided
- Work with Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Engineers, to ensure that accurate technical procedures and standards are in place to support work execution
- Drive the completion of maintenance jobs, including replacement of heat tracing, restoring insulation, removal of scaffold and conducting post maintenance testing and post job housekeeping
- Conduct regular workplace observations and FLRA audits to ensure work is performed safely and according to plan, schedule and procedure
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Journeyperson certificate
- 10 years' experience in an oil and gas maintenance environment
- Five or more years supervisory experience
Skills and Knowledge:- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work within a team
- Knowledge of mechanical and associated equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance strategies and methodologies
- MS Office and SAP experience
WORKING CONDITIONS- Located in Fort McMurray, Oilsands
- 10 and 4 schedule
