Already posted in the Prospects forum, but I know many don't go in there but want to know how Baertschi is doing. Knight scored 3 goals last night and Sven has best professional game with 2G, 3A and was a team-leading +5.
Gives him 7g, 9a in his last 11 games. Thanks to Drury18 for keeping us all posted on this.
It matters because there is the Backburner forum which exists on this site for news regarding Flames prospects in the AHL and junior.
And when someone does something of note or something positive it occasionally gets posted here too. If the thread sucks it'll die off. Baertschi has had a struggling season, so it's nice to see and a good note to see him doing so well in the AHL at this point.
Ortio and Knight have had consistently strong AHL seasons, so it's not a huge surprise.

Good for Sven. Very exciting news. He still has tonnes of offensive potential as his 16 pts in his last 11 games shows. I hope he makes the team out of camp next year and puts up a solid 40 pt season with the Flames. And there is no reason it cant happen.

Good to see his game coming together. Shame what looks to be about 250 people is the best they can draw for an AHL game considering the population of the general area.
Go Sven Go! The AHL is a PROFESSIONAL Hockey League. It is where plenty of NHLers get developed. Do not discount his achievement. Flamezilla? Morel like Nuckzilla!

Who really cares what gets posted where? Seeing a five point game from our best prospect, is something that I'm excited to read.
Are you the internet policeman?
It's great for Baertschi & it's great for the Heat. No doubt. The fact that it's a Heat franchise record makes it worthy news on this board, I suppose. His increased production is great news.
I would just want clarification on the title of the thread. If someone visited the site for the first time in months they might think Baertschi was tearing it up in the NHL, only to find they were unintentionally trolled.
I also find it a bit puzzling that some other Heat players put up solid performances in that game (mainly Knight's hat trick, plus Ortio & Miller) but the only one mentioned on this board is Baertschi. When the Heat are doing really well it's pretty rare that anything is mentioned on this board, but Sven gets an empty netter, a goal banked in off a defenceman and a couple secondary assists and it's news on the main board. Just sayin.

Oh, I think the trolling in this thread was intentional

Thanks for your concern for all of the people who don't usually come here. I'm not sure why the wet blanket is required. It's like we're caught in a Backlund thread with waycos.

Look Brian Burke, we just wanted to hear some good news about Sven who not long ago was our Monahan. And, if you visit calgarypuck, it's safe to assume that there is a 98% chance that you know Sven is not playing with the Calgary Flames. But yes, congrats to Ortio, Miller, and Knight as well.

Good to see Sven doing well and thanks for letting us know about it, don't always go to the backburner.
An aside but man that shot by brookbank to bloody the rookies nose while the refs were holding his arms at the end of that fight was cheap. What a plug.

So what you're saying is that you've found no one agrees with your original complaint so you're feebly reaching for weak arguments to back it up? Cool. I don't remember seeing any complaints about the number of threads regarding Johnny Gaudreau who isn't even an pro player. Signing speculation, Frozen four GT, interview with JG's mom etc.
If anything the quote that I've bolded is the very reason this should be in the FOI forum. If anyone hasn't visited the forum in months or followed the team the last thing they probably heard about Baertschi is that he was demoted after being expected to make the team amid a flurry of speculation about his attitude and was struggling to produce in Abbotsford.
I think it's great to see him have a game like this and I'm glad to hear about it. From what I've heard his two way play has improved as well so hopefully he can bring that back to the Flames next year.

Good for him. I hope he keeps it rolling into the playoffs and gains his confidence back. I still think he is mentally fragile but hope that can change during the final games and into the playoffs. If he fades out in the playoffs though, I still think we should consider moving him. Blue Chip for blue chip or try to get our hands on a couple more first or another top 5 pick for 2015.
