Reporting to the Transmission & Distribution Services Maintenance Manager, the Senior Electrical Planner is accountable for the safe, efficient and effective execution of the department's planning and scheduling functions in adherence to Suncor's policies, standards and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Align and maintain planning and scheduling activities to Suncor's Maintenance & Reliability Standard
  • Report and provide recommendation on the key performance indicators
  • Control, report and provide recommendations on maintenance costs and budgets
  • Coordinate major-maintenance, routine, project and turnaround activities
  • Provide coaching and training to department staff on maintenance processes
  • Custodian of maintenance history
  • Co-custodian of master data standardization and integrity
  • Contribute to the Transmission & Distribution Cross Functional Team
  • Co-steward of the regulatory compliance programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Transmission & Distribution Services Maintenance Manager, the Senior Electrical Planner is accountable for the safe, efficient and effective execution of the department's planning and scheduling functions in adherence to Suncor's policies, standards and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Align and maintain planning and scheduling activities to Suncor's Maintenance & Reliability Standard
  • Report and provide recommendation on the key performance indicators
  • Control, report and provide recommendations on maintenance costs and budgets
  • Coordinate major-maintenance, routine, project and turnaround activities
  • Provide coaching and training to department staff on maintenance processes
  • Custodian of maintenance history
  • Co-custodian of master data standardization and integrity
  • Contribute to the Transmission & Distribution Cross Functional Team
  • Co-steward of the regulatory compliance programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
  • Journeyperson certification, technical diploma or university degree in an electrical discipline
  • 5 years high voltage experience
  • 5 years maintenance planning/scheduling experience
  • SAP/GWOS experience is an asset
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Completion or progress in a MMP program would be considered an asset
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance practices, measures, planning & scheduling
  • Technical knowledge of high voltage equipment, control and protection systems is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products including Word, Project & Excel
