How clean do you think your home is?
Got a late start to the housework this weekend, and despite feeling perpetually behind on it, it's looking half-way decent.
Which got me to thinking, how clean do you think your home is relative to what you think other people's homes are like? Do you perceive yourself average, above, below, etc?
I'll go first - on a scale of 1-10, I'm thinking I'm a 5. I have no doubt half the homes out there are cleaner than mine, and I bet there are plenty that are worse. With 3 kids running around in summer weather, I can't imagine I can even aspire to more than this for any duration post-cleaning.
I'm curious to see the distribution - is everyone's perceived home cleanliness above-average, the same way most people rate themselves better than average drivers? Or do you think/know deep down that you're probably closer to the middle or even a little below?

Some parts are very clean, other might not be up to other peoples standards.
Bathrooms and kitchens are spotless and bleach disinfected. The rest of the house, especially in summer, is less clean. We typically keep our back doors open that lead into a "forestry" back yard. So we get lots of dirt, leaves, pine needles, etc into the house.... its all hard wood tile so no rotten carpet.

I am average at best. 5 - 6 kids on any given day during summer plus all the other activity craziness.

I'm in a two bedroom apartment so not quite as much space as a house, but I keep it pretty clean. I'd say 8.5/10
I have organizational ocd so I keep on top of things, I never really let a mess start. Everything has its place and I always make sure its there. Having to do dishes by hand now is taking some getting used to for me and my girlfriend but its usually done every morning
We are picking up our new ragdoll kitten in a couple weeks so that'll probably mean I vacuum even more haha

Been in my house for 4 years now.
I feel like you could graph my "give a fata"of clean house and years in house and they'd correlate fairly well. So that's good.
But kid on the way, and not looking forward to the in-between years when they can't pick up their own stuff and do my chores. After all that is largely why we decided to have them. I'd give myself a 7.5 right now.

The rooms that are finished 8.5-9/10, the kitchen is probably 6/10 due to being constantly in use (gets clean then dirty then clean then dirty) and the unfinished rooms probably a 3/10
Just have to get the projects all finished and then it won't be a big deal to get them all up to 9/10 standards.

If I tossed a grenade into my place, it might make an improvement. Where is that on the 1-10 scale?

My wife travels a lot for work, which means I'm home alone with 2 kids for 4-5 days at at time, about 3 times/month. During those days, it's probably around a 4. When she's home, it's around a 7-8.

My wife is super OCD, for sure we are about a 9.5, even with a couple kids, dog and a fish.

I'm confident in saying mine is probably 8.5 to 9. I live by myself with no kids, no pets, and I rarely make any food in my kitchen. I clean on a weekly basis and make sure things are kept neat.

I tidy up every day, clean every week or so, and deep clean every couple of months. I'd say my place is typically an 8 and never worse than a 7.

Two Golden Retrievers and four cats means you're probably eating hair in your soup at some point.
The missus is very diligent but it is what it is. We're a wild and wooly place.

When I look at my place, I see around 6.5-7. However anyone who comes over always mentions how nice/clean my place looks, so maybe in reality it is actually a 9.

I tend to clean in bunches. SO it varies from anywhere from an 8-10 then a 7 then a 6 then a 5. At which point probably about a week has past and then it's rince and repeat.
Since I just cleaned up yesterday let's go with 8.5. I'd rank higher but I didn't have time to vacuum or fully dust the place.

For a 900 sq ft condo with myself and now my brother I would say 7/10 on cleanliness scale.
I vacuum every other week
I clean the bathrooms 1x month
I dust 1x month
We keep the kitchen and living room area clean, kitchen is likely the dirtiest ant any one time but its wiped down so all in all its very liveable. My brother is a notorious food thief and cheap so at any one time there is a dirty pot and he is still in his cheapskate rut where he doesnt put anything in the dishwasher so I have to train him. Its only been a month so like any animal it takes time.

On cleanliness (to me that's dirt, dust, etc.) probably a 7; everything is vacuumed regularly, kitchen floor is swept pretty much daily or immediately after messes, bathrooms are cleaned, kitchen is wiped down more than once a day.
On tidiness, probably a 3 due to lots of clutter and kids' toys everywhere.

My bedroom is a mess. Clothes all over the floor until laundry day.
The 'Hockey' room is a mess. Hockey gear all over the floor until game day.
Bathroom countertop is covered in hair product/toothbrushes/skin care products/etc etc
Rest of the house isnt too bad.
