I felt like there could be a place for a general thread on games for smartphones. I'm sure a lot of people like me are pretty regurarly looking for new ones, and the sheer amount of them.

Here's my three recent favourite Android games.
A personal hit for me has been
Rebuild; single-player turn-based zombie survival strategy. At 77 cents it's been really good value. Very addictive.
A hit among my friends has been
Elder Signs: Omens.
It's actually sort of similar; horror-themed turn-based single-player strategy. It looks and plays quite different though. The whole game is lifted straight from a tabletop game by the same company, and it just works really well. Excellent graphics and quite atmospheric. Too much luck for my taste but to each their own.
I've also played
TripleTown a lot. It's basicly a simple "three-in-a-row" puzzle game, except those three in a row become something else that you then need to set in a row. (Three bushes become a tree, three trees becomes a house). There's some randomness and a few wandering bears and ninjas to make it interesting.
