Is it even released any where else? I think its still in prototype/testing last I read. I'd be shocked if is released in Canada this year. Maybe in the States later this year, but that would depend when it is out in the States.

Samsung hasn't even officially announced the S3, so don't expect to see it here anytime soon

Obviously it is still in the making considering they didn't even showcase it at CES.

S2 has been out since April of last year I believe. S2X (Telus) came out in November.
Plus being in the awesome Mobile market in Canada, we get these things pretty much last. They were available in the states well before.
Not sure how far ahead Europe is for stuff like this.

Yes... S2 has been out since May 1. Nobody expected to see anything about S3 at CES, that was no surprise. We expect MWC, and that's been pretty much a given since a few weeks after the S2 launch.
In my opinion, S2 (original int'l verison) is the best cell phone ever made, as far as what it was able to do to its competition at the time of release, and the fact that it still blows everything out of the water 9 months later despite the ridiculous number of Android phones being released on a daily basis. Of course it'll be better, but I kinda feel like there's no chance the S3 will be good enough to live up to the S2.

um, very false. the S2 was released in August in the US, and they are always the last ones to get phones because the carriers insist on having their own branding for each device. Canada also got the Galaxy Nexus before the states did

S2 has been on Bell/Virgin since July... that's when I got one. Frankly, if you want a new phone bad enough, just buy it unlocked from the UK. Expect to pay a ton, but you gotta pay to play.

Uhh really? What makes you say that?
This comparison to HTC Sensation XE say they are pretty close:
http://androidadvices.com/htc-sensat...ii-comparison/
This says Sensation XE
HTC's Sensation XE has proven itself today, with a solid victory over a great contender.
http://www.knowyourmobile.com/compar...galaxy_s2.html
http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-...laxy-s2-38733/
I don't see any blowing out of water there, do you?
The only knock-down on Sensation seems to be that Galaxy has a better battery life, but I found that my HTC lasts at leasts a day no matter how much I use the phone. I charge it once a day and it's enough, so unless you live on a stranded island I don't see how battery would be an issue.

Sensation? Seriously dude? Haha I don't even...
Sensation runs Sense... enough said. And that screen is disgusting. I had a Sensation for a week but didn't even keep it that long. Pure crap.

To clarify... GS II has better graphics, WAY better screen, not infected with Sense and thus runs faster (due mostly in part to 1.2 Exynos being > Snapdragon), better camera, more RAM, bigger battery, lighter, etc
Seems pretty clear cut to me.

The Exynos chip is an amazing chip set and is likely what sets it apart from all the other dual core phones out there.
The specs for the S3 are going to be some kind of special.

Really? I always assumed they got it first since I always seem to notice their commercials before they are on Bell/Telus ones up here.
I stand corrected. On a good note then, I guess that may be the one thing we don't get bent over on by phone companies - phone availability!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of HTC phones either. The user interface is ugly, that bar at the bottom for the phone and the clock up top is ugly crap.
Some of their physical phone designs are not pleasing either,

Who would buy a HTC phone for the stock firmware? You buy it because they are easy to root and install custom ROMs on.

Or just download LauncherPro and Gingerbread Keyboard from the Market and toss out the vast majority of Sense.

I also said the actual physical phones are usually ugly.
This is a rumoured upcoming HTC phone.

lol what? Enough said? Enlighten me how is Sense dragging the phone down? What's there to hate? Honestly? GS II runs faster?* It opens apps in a fraction of a nanosecond faster? Yeah as an user you can sure notice that. The thought of "my phone is lagging" never crossed my mind yet...
Screen pure crap? Better resolution than SG2's SuperAmoled+. SG2 is better in direct sunlight (Sensation is readable just fine) I give you that and it has....rich black color...and what else?
Camera, please who takes quality photos with ther phone, for drunken party pics any camera in any phone is just fine.
Edit:
* actually according to this, that is not even true:
Given that it out-paces the popular Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of pure CPU speed, the Sensation XE is the obvious choice for those Android users who relish being at the front of the smart phone pack. The enhanced processor even puts it ahead of the eagerly-awaited Galaxy Nexus -- although that particular phone will be running Android 4.0 long before HTC's handset.
