Default So ... how much would you pay for a hockey ticket to watch the Flames lose?

probably more fit for this forum... the Flames are 0-7 for the games I've watched (I missed the only game they've won in San Jose, sadly, it was a 2-1 win a year or two ago)........ cheapest tickets I can find are $100 each, and if I go, I have to take a girl I'm dating... I think the best result I've been in was a 4-2 loss, worse being 9-1 loss (I think it was, maybe it was 9-2)... I think there was also a few 7-3 losses in there too. The last time I went, I think we were down 4-0 12 minutes into the first.

And the Flames come to town Tues... so, how much would you pay? I'm contemplating just sticking to watching it on NHL TV ... first time I've would be passing up a chance to see the Flames play live in the past 8 years, as every time the Flames are in town for wherever I live, I go to the game.

Spend about as much as you would on a typical night out, because if you're certain of the outcome that's what going to a game becomes.

Maybe CP should take up a collection and pay you to stop going to games.

You should go. Statistically, they have to be getting closer to finally winning one.

Its actually quite demoralizing to watch your team get blown out when you go there hoping for a win. Especially if the team sets 9 new franchise records against your team.

It'll come around. I went to 12 Devils games before they won one. A Habs fan actually PAID MY WAY to go to Montreal to watch a game with him just because he was sure that with me there the Canadiens would win.

But they have won 4 of the last 5 that I attended. I found that the fate of the universe (or at least the Devils) does not revolve around me.

Well, I suppose so. But at least its more exciting than watching a 1-0 win in OT. It's not like you can go and tell any, say Ducks fan, that you kicked their arses.

Go to the game, if you can afford it. They come there so rarely anyway.

Plus, they've got to win eventually. And even if they don't, you'll get to see Squid wearing #93!! I predict an Iggy and Squid hot streak for the next 5 games.

On the flip side, The Flames have lost only one time that i have been in the saddle dome since I became a fan in 2006. I have been to 15 games . I will also make a chip in account for people to pay my yearly salary ( so I can move there for the rest of the season) plus to pay for tickets to all the remaining home games. =)

As a sports fan living NO WHERE NEAR A MAJOR CITY, I've seen my baseball team play four times, and my hockey team play twice (or think of it as 2 trips each).

Don't pass up an opportunity to see your team play live. The Flames are 1-1 with me in attendance, the Rangers are 3-1 with me in the building. Even the losses I left with a smile on my face as I got to see my team play.

There's nothing like it. Almost like a religious pilgrimage. Just to be there, to see the crowd, to cheer when things go right, to get fired up when things go wrong (both happen several times a game). To chat with random people about the team, and high-five them just because they wear the same shirt as you.

The home games are sweet as it's THE place to be, everyone is a fan of your team (which for me is very Very VERY odd). Yet, on the road you bond with the other fans that are they just because you're in enemy territory.

They might lose? Man, if the fact they might lose is a factor, you're missing the point. I'll trade you. If only I had the chance to see the Flames lose in person this year (or any time in the near future) I'd actually be a happy man.

*note I'd prefer a win, but I'll take the game just the same.

Gambler's Fallacy. The games he goes to don't have memory.

Flames should give me season tickets. 6-0-1 since the Lockout.
