From the cbc.ca article, talking about the Queen's visit today to the newly renamed Royal Alberta Museum. There's some art outside:

Named Buffalo Twins, it represents the two provinces, which considered merging in 1905 into a single province called Buffalo.

*shudder* I can't imagine how things would be if Alberta and Sask were one province. Nevermind the Sask jokes, this would be a huge province, 3/4 farmland...would Calgary and Edmonton be as big, or bigger, then they are now? What about Regina and Saskatoon?

Interesting. Wouldn't have cared for the name, however.

Nah... The Population would be spread more!

We'd/ they'd be better off. No NDP gov't and their resources would be properly exploited and they'd wouldn't be looking for handouts and subsidies.
