talkin to yourself again GS?

this is my favorite of the major tourneys...would like to see a North American do well on either side...alas it has become a very non NA dominated sport.

GS I appreciate how you watch every sport. Now that I am addicted to tennis I love watching matches just sucks that most of them are during the day. Will watch semi's and finals though!

in a rain-soaked day..

Dancevic and Dubois advanced to Final Round!

Fichman dropped the first set

Posposil and Wozniak postponed until tomorrow.

Play resumes tomorrow at 8am.

----

Edit: Fichman is out.

Some matches still going under the lights.
They are saying they want to finish the 3rd round tomorrow because there will be heavy rain Saturday. So Pospisil and Wozniak will have to play two matches to qualify!

Both Posposil and Wozniak are IN! Both winning TWO matches today. Posposil winning a 3rd set tiebreak to make it into his first Grand Slam main draw ever.

I'll try to update the draws over the weekend but with Hurricane Irene on the way, who knows when the tournament will start!

I've added the qualifiers.. all the Canadians avoided seeded players. They all have a good chance to advance out of the first round but anything further will be very tough.

Time for some predictions:

Men: Djokovic - he's just playing so strong right now
Women: Wozniacki - coming off a great tourny win in New Haven after some struggles earlier this summer. She seems to have found her stride. Without Clijsters, I think it's Wozniacki's to lose, but you never know with the Williams sisters there.
