You know what? I agree with Option84. People turn ######ed when they walk.
I won't rest until pedestrians stop randomly stopping in front of me.

Go to a superstore in the NE on a saturday afternoon. After that, all other foot traffic will seem awesome.

i agree with the OP 100%! Also, when walking the +15 downtown, and there's a group of people walking slowly in a line covering off the whole walkway. That drives me nuts!

Or how about the ones who walk out from a building onto a crowded sidewalk while sauntering around on their mobile telephones completely oblivious to anything.
And why is it that I am always the one that has to move over and step behind the person (or people) who I am walking with when an oncoming couple or group is approaching!? 
And yes, we live in a right-left society. Move to the right, past on the left. It makes everything so much smoother.

THIS annoys me to no end.
I walk really fast naturally and am always passing people. I can't stand people that walk in the middle of a narrow sidewalk and waver all over oblivious that anyone is behind them trying to get around. Usually as soon as you try to go around them they get in your way.

Also along the same line of thought, I wish people that want to stand on an escalator would stand on the right, so people that want to walk can pass on the left. It works that way a lot of places in the world, but Calgary doesn't seem to follow that unwritten rule.

This might be the only thing about Edmonton transit that's better than Calgary. The escalators in their LRT stations have signs saying to do this. (stand right, walk left) Why do people run out of the train at top speed so you can get to the escalator first, and then stand on the left? People behind you are missing their bus.
