Up for sale is my trustworthy Roland Jazz Chorus JC-55 guitar amp. This is the smallest of the Jazz Chorus line, at 55 watts and 2x8" speakers. Features the same legendary chorus circuit and stereo amp setup as its big brother the JC-120.
The amp is in fantastic physical and electrical condition. As a pure collectors piece (and these are highly collectable now), it's not ideal - it's missing the Roland badge on the front, and the stock speakers have been upgraded to Eminence Alpha-8's.
But as a home/studio/small gig amp for clean guitar or with amp modelling pedals, it's unmatched. It's got everything the Jazz Chorus line has going for it - very clean, tons of headroom, great stereo chorus, spring reverb, etc. It's never been gigged, lives in a non-smoking house, and has been lovingly cared for.
If you know and love the Jazz Chorus amp, or always wanted one but realized the JC-120 is a behemoth and completely impractical in a basement, this is your amp.
I'm asking $250 for it, which is less than you'll find them for on ebay, and I feel a fair deal for a rare amp in great condition.
I'm selling it because I have a JC-120 now, and the cash from this sale is going towards a new guitar, otherwise I'd be hanging on to this one.
