Tyler Hamilton says that Lance Armstong used performance enhancing drugs
I am pretty sure this hasn't been discussed here.
http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/cyclin...ory?id=6567822
"I saw (EPO) in his refrigerator .. I saw him inject it more than one time like we all did, like I did many, many times," Hamilton told 60 Minutes' Scott Pelley. "(Armstrong) took what we all took ... the majority of the peloton. There was EPO ... testosterone ... a blood transfusion."
I always had my suspicions, and certainly there have been many whispers over the years. But this is the first reliable testimony of the details. Also Lance's other trusted support rider George Hincapie has reportedly testified behind closed doors.

Not surprising, but still disappointing. Finding out a hero is really a fraud doesn't do anyone good.

I thought it was generally known that the Tour de France is the world champion of doped athletes.
Armstrong was the far best of all the cheaters, so he's still a freak of nature.

I read an article a few years ago by a former competitive cyclist who had become a biochemist working on drug detection tests. He made a pretty convincing case that all of the top cyclists were using performance enhancing drugs, particularly EPO; part of his evidence (apart from his own anecdotal observations) was that right around the time EPO became readily available the race times suddenly dropped significantly over a period of 2 or 3 years.

George Hincapie has allegedly alleged the same thing, as well. Not that we really know any of these guys, but if Hincapie, of all people, is saying it, that's some pretty compelling testimony.

Is Habernac a devout Branch Armstrongian?

Hamilton is yet another person who's been caught multiple times and lied through his teeth. His testimony means dick IMO.
If the Hincapie thing is true, Armstrong has something to worry about.

I actually don't believe it either.
Armstrong is a freak of nature. He didn't need to do drugs to be better than everyone else.

Everyone used PED's. Most still do even with strict testing.
Saying Lance didn't cheat is like saying Carl Lewis was clean just because he didn't get caught when everyone else around him did.
Although I shouldn't say cheat as it was essentially endorsed or at least ignored by the governing bodies until it started to result in bad press.
Really he played by the same rules as everyone else which doesn't tarnish his achievement at all in a historical sense.

Hamilton recently surrendered his Olympic gold medal even though he told Pelley he wasn't 'using' at the time. I think he has a lot of guilt, and basically pulling a Jose Canseco by outting his colleagues. He currently has legal immunity from being charged with doping only unless he no longer lies....

You have your head in the sand. He might be a freak of nature but he could not have consistently beat dopers year after year if he wasn't doing it himself. Not possible. Greg le mond, landis, hincapie, Hamilton confirm it now.

So was the Big Mig a doper too? That was before the big Team Festina scandal, so I don't know if it was as widely known/investigated back then..
