I really doubt it from the mileage perspective, the quality of some fuels is superior. I buy Shell diesel because the process at the Scotford refinery produces a better fuel from Oilsands feedstock.

I fill up at the station closest to my house. Which happens to be an Esso.

I always liked racking up the Canadian Tire money. I think it was around six cents a litre when you used the CT credit card that got turned into fishing tackle and tools.

People claim husky is less efficient because it has Ethanol in it, but its got a higher octane rating, so you could fill up a car that requires premium, with regular gas because its 90 octane.

Generally I get my groceries from Safeway, get my fuel discount, than drive right across the street and use it. It doesn't seem like much but the 5 cent fuel discount adds up overtime.

I stay away from ethanol, and for diesel I always prefer Petro Can.
My Hemi would give me a check engine light when I visited my MIL, but never when I went to see my Dad...I was running Husky/Mohawk ethanol gas going to MIL's. Made the switch to Shell and no check engine light.

I did my own testing a few years back and I found I got the best mileage with Shell V-Power. I found I got the worst mileage with Esso.
So I only buy Shell.

So mileage plays no part? So I'm better off just going to my Superstore getting superbucks?

How would you possibly measure accurately which gas provides more mileage?

The supersore/safeway gas stations are filled up by Petro Can, Esso, Shell etc. So it's not like you're getting some kind of mystery brew. It could be a different company every day though. I think they just choose who is cheapest.

The most convenient station for me happens to be a Petro Canada, so that's where I find myself most often. Thinking of signing up for their points/discount thing. 7 cents a litre or something? Anyone on the program who can elaborate?

Sure it does. Some stations use ethanol/winter blends, which reduces mileage. I stay away from husky/mohawk which guarantee 10% ethanol. Other stations "may include" up to 10%.
I've always found I get decent mileage with Shell. The V-power is guaranteed not to have ethanol (although may not be ideal, depending on your vehicle).
I use the Safeway in town from time to time, but it's filled from the Shell tanker. Not sure if that applies for all safeways or not.

Fill up at a certain station for a month over the same season, average out your mileage. Then do the same with another station? Sure there's other variables involved, but I've found I'll get on average 50 kms less on a tank of Esso fuel over a number of fills.

Costco. 2-7 cents cheaper if one is nearby you. Have

There are so many variables involved I don't know why you'd possibly bother. Even ignoring the fact that traffic, the number of lights you hit, etc etc changes so much, there's also the fact that the fuel may change as well.
