Default Shogun 2: Total War

I've played every game in this series since Rome Total War and have loved them all. I'm hoping this will fill the gap between now and Battlefield 3.

Anyone else have this game on their radar?

Haven't played the latest (Empire and Napoleon) but Rome is still one of the best strat games for me. Medieval 2 was also pretty good.

Can't wait for this, will definitely get it.

Empire was my introduction to the Total War franchise, and it went WAY beyond my expectations. I think Shogun 2 will be excellent and I'll likely pick it up.

You should really give Rome and the Medieval games a chance then - they were vastly superior (apart from graphics) in my opinion.

Rome is awesome, and the modding community for it is great. Its still a game staple for me that I come back to a few times a year.

I just watched a few of the videos, what is with guys being able to climb castle walls, how are you supposed to choke point an army when they can just climb any wall they want.

Damn Japanese castles sucked.

I actually intend(ed) to get Rome. Truth be told, I can't seem to scratch together more than an hour a week to video games, so it's been tough. Empire Total War and Civilization 5 are currently collecting dust - despite my absolute love for them.

It's why I picked up FIFA 10. 20 minute game fix, for when I need one.

Each day leading up to Shogun's release - all the previous Total War games are being discounted on Steam.

Today is Rome for $2.50
