Heritage Classic (thermos, blankets, peppermint Schnapps...)
What do I need for this event?
Blankets? Thermoses are prohibited. I may take one and see if I get through or nor..
Any other ideas?

I found at the Edmonton game my feet were the biggest problem - so do whatever you can to keep those dogs toasty.

Thermoses are prohibited? Are you kidding me? Do they know this is an outdoor game? That's ridiculous!

Thermoses aren't prohibited. Thermoses filled with alcohol are.

Can someone that went to the West finals answer this...are blankets normal for a cold day? I don't want to be one of the only people with a blanket there.

Blankets are pretty common. I'd also recommend something to rest your feet on. You'd be surprised how much warmer your feet are when they're not touching the cold concrete.

My sister was at the Western finals this last season, here is her facebook status for getting ready for the game today:
"long underwear, legs warmers, tank top, long sleeve shirt, sweater, Flames jersey, sleeping bag, mitts, toque, hand & feet warmers"
She said that combo kept her very warm at that game.

I have one of those and they work great. Used it for the Alberta mens curling playdowns that were held in High River a week ago. Have also used it when attending any Stampeders game.
