Two huge upsets last night
The Suburbs, Arcade Fire - Best Album
"We're going to go play another song...cause we like music"
Amazing album, very happy they won. Only band nominated that (gasp) plays instruments. Beat out Eminem, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Lady Antebellum
Esperanza Spaldez - Best New Artist
Over Bieber and Drake. Bieber fans aren't very happy about this one. Hadn't heard of her but wow, she's really talented...looking forward to listening to more of her stuff.

i liked Bruno Mars, B.o.B and Janelles performance
and the best performance to me was Eminem, Rihanna, Dr. Dre and Skylar
Justin Bieber fans are 12 year old girls. The sooner he realizes his fan base isn't going to stick the better.
His performance last night was embarrassing. I felt bad for him.
As for good music being recognized, Arcade Fire winning was unbelievable, especially when you consider how many more albums the competition they were up against sold.
Mumford and Sons were great as well.
One more thing, anyone confused/upset about Kanye West not being nominated for album of the year, the album release date missed the 2011 cut off. Next year.
One of the better grammies I can remember, minus Lady Gaga singing a song about self expression for the millionth time.
Esperanza Spalding may be worthy of the award, but how does an artist that has been releasing solo studio albums for 5 years get Best new artist? And I'm not being cynical here... just curious what the criteria for the award is...
And how on earth was Mumford & Sons not up for album of the year?

I guess im the only one who was rattled with the album award. I thought eminem should have cleaned that up easy. To be honest, I would have rather seen katie perry win over those guys.
With that being said, my taste in music is not in the arcade fire genre so my opinion is irrelevant.

I think my favourite part of it all was watching all the indie bands on face book and twitter give their support and congrats to Arcade Fire.
