Ok idiots. If you do not know what this sign is, turn in your driver's license and give your car to Sample00 so he can sell it for you.

Oh you mean like almost every day and sometimes 2 times a day?

If you are completely crappy driver and are scared to death of the roads you should LOVE and ADORE this sign. It is made for people who cannot drive.

To be fair, when you turn out of Westhills onto Richmond Road you get a really short lane to get out of unless you want to go south on Sarcee.

That being said, I still honk when I pull behind someone yielding there.

That is the city messing up. There should be a yield sign there instead of the free flow sign.

I also see this every day. One of my big gear grinders to be sure. Every day at Canyon Meadows and Bow Bottom, somebody doesn't want to use the couple hundred meter long merge and just stops. Pain in the freaking ass.

I also wonder how Calgarians can be so stupid when it come to 4 way stops?! What kind of dummy doesn't know the right of way rules of a 4-way stop?? I'm talking specifically about people that sit there waiting when they were obviously the first ones to stop.

So when i was in China a few years back there was this huge accident on the freeway. So what did everyone do? they went on the shoulder and drove around the accident minimizing the delay.

Why can't we do that here? Our shoulders are pretty damn wide too with all the space we have.

Drive slowly with my signal light off, turning my full body around as I "shoulder check" looking for a gap in the traffic in the left lane. When no one will let me in, slow down even more and repeat until a gap of at least 1km in length opens in the left lane so that I can move over, never once realizing that the lane I'm currently in doesn't actually end and there's no real reason for me to merge over.

Yes but the sign is stilla free flow sign so you must do that until they change it.

It's like you must go 60 on some roads, when clearly a better speed would be 70. You need to follow the sign or you are doing something illegal.

The scenario I described above is the exact thing that happened to me yesterday going from 16th to Deerfoot northbound. We weren't even going 60 by the time we got to the Deerfoot, but she decided the best option for "merging" into the left lane (completely unnecessary because the lane doesn't end until McKnight) was to slow down even further when she saw there was traffic in the other lane. I was actually surprised she wasn't still somewhere around 32nd when I was driving to work today.

Collegiate Blvd at the UofC has the absolute worst four way stop. Every time I go through it I have to stop halfway through my left turn because people don't understand arriving first/right of way.
