Just clearing out the PVR and decided to check out the Arcade Fire episode, after a few seconds of looking at the big goofy singer I remembered that he was accused of some sexually inappropriate behavior with young girls a few years ago. Guess that was all forgotten.
Damn that band is garbage, just beyond awful.

Damn that band is garbage, just beyond awful.
They were not great last week, and the new album seems to be a let down. Their first few albums were brilliant. Wake Up was a highlight of the SNL 50 live concert. Win Butler is an ass.
Musically they are what I hate most about that type of stuff.
Nothing skillful about anything any of the band members played, I know that's not the focus with "indie" music but it's so rudimentary that any 13 year old kid can plunk away on a single note on a cheap guitar and recreate it. What pisses me off is that none of them play with any attitude or originality, none of the chords or phrasing contain anything unique. The pervert husband and his wife are not even good singers, fine I guess, maybe some of their vocal melodies are catchy but ####ed if I know how they're successful.
I've done my best to ignore them over the years but now I know how brutally terrible they are.

Their first three records were really solid IMO. Unfortunately they got progressively worse with each album after that and I completely lost interest. Then came the sexual allegation stuff, which was the death knell.
Heidi was great but a bit of a one trick pony. I really like her but I think she got a bit stale on the show. She’ll go on to a good comedy career. Sarah Sherman is the female lead now.
I agree Michael was underutilized. I thought he’d end up with a bigger role at some point. Probably just a numbers game with so many other strong cast members and the need for continual reinventing.
If they can drop another 4-5 cast members then I like a fresher look to everything. I find it's much harder for anyone to break out with so much competition. I think a smaller cast can play off each other better as well if you find some chemistry. I'd say Che and Jost, and Mikey Day should be gone for some new blood. Maybe bump Keenan up to an executive role, as I don't see him going anywhere.
