It’s also good for acting like an expert on something you don’t really know anything about. Lots of fun!
No no no, the real fun is then becoming extremely combative when challenged by someone who actually knows something about that topic. Like, #### you man, I copy and pasted my anecdote, how dare you ask me to back this #### up

I figured that was implied

The egg noodle and tomato KD varieties were the bomb. At least according to 12 year old me’s taste buds. They could have actually been trash, like Chef-Boyardee.
Food is one of those weirdly entertaining topics on any forum, message board, etc, because if something cheap and stupid proof like KD or McDonalds comes up you inevitably have people chiming in that they prefer to make their own, completely different thing from scratch, or that they prefer something that is similar but costs 500% more. I genuinely find it funny, and it’s not just here, same thing happens on Reddit or wherever else.
Or like any advice. “Hey I don’t have money for a new car, looking used 10-15 years old under $10k, what’s the best buy?” 100% someone down thread chimes in with “I just leased a 2025 Hyundai and really love it” or “Not sure how flexible your budget is but check out 2018 Porsche Cayennes”
Also Matheson is great, really funny and interesting guy. Tons of stuff on YouTube, but one of my personal favourites is him Hillbilly Handfishing with Brad Leone.
KD is different. I love cheap unhealthy food as much as the next guy. Cheapie hotdogs, McDonalds (although not cheap anymore), chips, etc.
But there mere ####ing sight of KD is off-putting. That gray/white pasta looks like it already has cancer. That powder looks so orange and wrong. It smells like an industrial plant. Once it's cooked it looks even more revolting. I seriously question if it is even 'food' or a synthetic concoction and some lobby group bribed the government to allow it to be consumed by humans.

Reminds me of the skit that I saw not long ago. A German guy drinks American Coca Cola and is weirded out by the corn syrup taste. Then he is happy with the taste of fancy Mexican cola because it's real sugar. The other guy then offers him a Fanta and he momentarily stares before responding with "What the #### is this?". Supposedly because it's neon orange vs the color of normal orange juice.
EDIT: Found it.
