This was their plan for years ever since they shut down Swoop. Rather than have two different airlines to serve two different customer bases they'll have mixed cabins to serve the regular crowd and the ULCC crowd with one fleet
No recline is a feature. With that layout, people will get the much sought after "tall person in economy" flying experience. I literally won't fit in those seats.
That's brutal if true. Unless the seats are somewhat thinner and 28" is similar to 30" on the current seats. I've flown RyanAir, their seats are tolerable for short flights and that's about it.
I'm a big guy too, 30" is about as small as I can tolerate.
The no recline is actually something I support though.
Flew Porter for the first time to Toronto earlier this year. Will definitely be flying with them again, loved the damn good price, the no middle seat conundrum and the free alcohol.
They offered free wifi before everyone else as well. I feel much more like human than cattle on Porter flights, so I've boycotted WJ/AC/Flair on any route Porter flies.

Absolutely loved my trip with Porter this morning. Hope they expand and get more flights out of YYC. Would like to see a Calgary to Vegas or Phoenix route. And I agree, the no middle seat is amazing

That's exactly how I describe it to people too, it's like the old days when I felt appreciated. We just got back Monday from our second Porter Reserve trip, for just a few more bucks it is downright relaxing. The extra leg room would cost a bunch more on WJ.

I fly enough that I place a high value on loyalty programs, and I use the miles/status for free #### like upgrades or vacations later. Unfortunately, with Porter they don't fly to enough places for me to jump ship.
But if you are an infrequent flyer, I would 1000% seek out Porter.
Boeing's decades-old record fell with the handover of an A320neo to Saudi carrier Flynas, bringing total deliveries to 12,260 since the A320 series entered service in 1988, according to benchmark data from UK-based aviation analytics firm Cirium.
Let's celebrate with some Airbus "barking":
