Ah well. Either way its at least another year in the Championship for them.
Yeah and the Championship is not going to be nearly as good next season as it was this year. 90 pts is usually more than enough for automatic promotion to the Premier League, but Leicester and Ipswich Town just went crazy this season. Leeds will need to sell some players, but should be the odds-on favorite to earn an automatic promotion spot next season.

As a Saints fan, very happy they won today, but if they don't bring up some top quality players, they will likely find themselves right back in the Championship in short order.

might get worse for Leeds now, I wouldn't be surprised if they had to sell off quite a few players after missing out on that PL money. Players like Archie Gray should have lots of interest from PL clubs

Yeah I dont know about leeds coming up next year... they apparently owe 190 million pounds in future transfer fee payments. I think probably their best 4-6 players will go and they will still be at risk of points deductions, they bet big on staying in the prem and overspent.

Surprised they didnt come up they had a lot of legitimate talent but nust didnt execute. Southampton will a much weaker epl side, they just do not carry anywhere near the same attacking threat and them and ipswich will be have favourites to go down.

Probably good news for the existing epl teams that result.

Kieran McKenna apparently staying at Ipswich and agreeing to a new contract, while Chelsea are close to appoint Enzo Maresca from Leicester.
