Bad Ass Bron Breakker vs Smelly Cat Jey Uso had a fun segment. Looking forward to their feud after all.

This slow build on the new day implosion is good but its dragging on. Im curious as to where this is headed because I dont think Woods is good enough for a singles push.

Also, that Jey / Bron promo was actually really fun... Bron has come a long way on his promo skills, it felt like they legit wanted to kill each other right there. Loved JAy spittin' fire with the 'short NFL career' line.

Jey Uso sucks so bad in the Ring. That was a sloppy ass match.

While I agree Jey is often sloppy in the ring (that's probably the best description I've seen), the guy is just so over its still super exciting for me to see him win this title. His matches are exciting because people are so invested in seeing him have success.

I'm pretty sure this title run will be short as he is likely due to go back to the bloodline where he can shine in a more secondary role again, but I'm really happy he is getting his first singles title after being in WWE for what, 14 years? Nice to get his flowers if nothing else before he goes back to the big storyline.

I also like the move because at this point Jey has had so many failed title matches that I think many really didnt expect him to go over on Breakker. I like that once and a while, WWE will do something a little unexpected and have a title change on Raw (similar to giving Mysterio a title win on SMackdown in Calgary last year). It keeps eveyone on their toes that anything can still happen if its not a PLE, and likely a sign of things to come as they move to Netflix.

One benefit of the shorter 5 match PLE strategy is that they do have more payoff matches on TV again.

Feel like that was more common back in the 90s when there were fewer PPVs and you would payoff some stories before the PPV.

Having stuff like Bron / Jey, Wyatts/American Made, Reed vs Braun on regular weeks for the payoff makes the product seem more real and alive IMO.

Needs to be tweaked a little bit still for stuff like the mid-card and tag titles to get some PLE shine every once in a while (Still think 6 matches would be perfect instead of 5) but overall it does make the product seem more real than every storyline waiting 4-8 weeks to culminate at a PPV.

To be fair to AEW they have done a good job of this too at times when they had a more limited PPV schedule and would payoff some fueds on TV.

The Vince McMahon documentary is on Netflix. What a creep, sounds like he hired a bunch of those female wrestlers to fulfill his fantasies or to see if he could bang them.

Something I learned in this doc series that I hadn't in all previous docs about the Montreal screwjob is that Wendy Richter was screwed over in the 80s and Bret was widely aware of that situation and that it might be coming again.

It was a bit funny because she didn't want to give the belt back lol.

Wendy left and was never seen again, just like Vince when the news dropped about him being a creeper.

I forgot he made Trish bark like a dog.

What makes it more gross to be honest that the Richter screwjob involved the Fabulous Moolah, and we all know about what kind of a person she was.

Bret had a feeling when you watch Wrestling with Shadows that something bad was going to happen in Montreal, that's why he had the rest of the Hart Foundation waiting by the Gorilla area. But I would guess he thought that he would bet completely stiffed by Michaels, and DX would come flooding in.

But I think that he deep down believed that Vince was a lot of things to him at times, he even stated that the betrayal hurt because Vince was like a father figure to him. So he never saw it coming.

I remember that a much younger Captain was pretty disgusted by the bark like a dog thing was allowed to happen.
