I think it's "well done", but it's not for me either. I can't see it lasting long, unless Alexa Bliss becomes the long term leader.
Wow! Caught the Bo.Dallas VHS promo... It was actually really good. Exceptionally well done. Loved how he delivered his emotional plea. I don't love the spooky stuff, yet it's easy to get behind someone who has gone through such loss, after being seen as the "lesser Rotunda brother".
I know I'll get flack for this, but WWE has done more.in a week with Bo Dallas than AEW in over a year with Briscoe. Briscoe connects with the fans and is over... yet they've done nothing to help his character. I didn't even know how good Briscoe was until recently, as he's usually languishing on RoH.

Did AEW try and piggyback a gimmick on Mark that Jay got over?

Ehhhh this could be a bit of a reach.
In both cases they didn't change gimmicks at all.
Bo was already Uncle Howdy and part of the story prior to Bray's death and the whole Wyatt Six thing was already planned...they (Rightfully) just paused the whole thing when Bray got sick and then ultimately passed way. but decided it to continue to do it now to honor Bray.
For Briscoe they were both just the same Briscoe brother gimmick forever and haven't really changed anything.

Does Marc Briscoe need to change anything? He and his brother have Eddie Kingston energy. They get over simply based on who they are. They are the fan's 'boys'. For a mid-carder, that's all you need, and can slot into the main event where needed (e.g. Marc putting on great performances in the AEW Round Robin tournament).
Bo does not have that reputation with the fans, nor does he have that fan appeal on his own.
Comparing Mark to Bo is a fruitless exercise to begin with.

Raw has been consistently entertaining. While it isn't all good, it is the most engaging it has been in a long time. It feels like every story has a long ways to go.

Have they introduced Hikuleo yet as another Bloodline member? I see they trademarked "Ceasar Sikoa". Looking forward to another Samoan debut.
Starting to see that NWO problem creep in.

Except these guys joining the Bloodline actually makes sense...unlike the NWO.
Also found it funny you used NWO...and not Bullet Club...considering Bullet Club likely makes more sense considering GoD and Hikuleo were all part of Bullet Club.
If anything it's more like "Bullet Club Samoa" that is being created here.
My guess is Ceasar Sikoa is going to be something Solo calls himself...Ceasar > Roman (I think it's terrible but that's my guess).

Not sure, I don't watch smackdown.
I only Watch Raw and parts of Dynamite. My weekends are too busy, and honestly live is the best way to enjoy Wrasslin.

Bullet Club Samoa.
Does it have Prince Devitt, AJ Styles or Kenny Omega as the leader?
And just WHO is going be the Chase Owens of the group?
Kinda looking more and more like the Dave Finlay Bullet Club without Roman around.

This would be more it for sure.
Not peak Bullet Club...more spin off Bullet Club.
So either Dave Finlay Bullet Club...or even Bullet Club Gold (Jay White is great, but isn't being booked great).

Still looking like NWO more and more to me. Maybe we'll yet see Zilla, Lance, and Sean Maluta show up. And hey, if we're really feeling crazy, lets get Journey for deathmatches. I bet Netflix would be game.

It's all a build for Roman vs Rock.
Roman will come back a huge baby face and team with the Uso's and Hayman, hell maybe even Rollins. The Rock will lead the new bloodline. It will main event WM 41.

I'm not high on the Wyatt Six... it's not for me either. Too cheesy. When you do 'supernatural' stuff like this in wrestling, and then they take losses / look incredibly human in the ring, the gimmick quickly loses its lustre.
Granted, Undertaker's character did evolve into a beatable, but still credible, entity; but he started out as someone who would just win and literally 'rise from being dead' in the middle of the ring.

They should have taken the break to step away from the super natural stuff with the creepy masks etc...and went down the more traditional Wyatt Family route.
Where Wyatt's death actually solidified his followers and have driven them even more down the crazy cult path.

A Louisiana swamp cult I get, that would have been cool to see again. But the surrealist stuff is off-putting. You can get the same effect with more realistic creepiness than taking it all the way to 10. Leave the surrealism to the fan's imaginations. Show characters who are creepy by design and know they can dig deeper in the ring when it counts. Personally I think the House of Black seems more legitimate, being more of a dark anarcho group (and having Brody King doesn't hurt either).

How is that? With Briscoe AEW could have pushed him or at least given him television time to get over with the audience. Not to prosper off tragedy, yet the crowd wanted to get behind him. The Briscoe's were unique talents and Mark should have been pushed. Instead he was off and on television and they really did nothing with him. He was just another cog on the wheels. Meanwhile Jericho, Bucks, Cassidy get their usual weekly spots on Dynamite.
So instead of creating a new star they kept him in the background for the better part of a year. Now it looks like they're finally giving Briscoe time on Dynamite and it seems to be working! Who knows how long that'll last until Tony gets bored and gives more time to Danny Garcia dancing or creating a new title (mixed title is being rumored).
Meanwhile in WWE they seem to know how to turn reality into story. The Bo Dallas segment was captivating. People are already behind Dallas. I've seen some even want him to win the title! That promo was exceptional. Something aew could have done with Briscoe, yet chose not to. I saw someone suggest to have Rowan bring up Harper's death as well. They can't go past the point of exploiting tragedy, yet how they worked it yesterday was compelling stuff. It almost works better without the creepy/spooky stuff, but they're onto something here. They can do promos like that for all the members of the group... Their "real selves" confessing truths to Howdy.
Briscoe (or Take) should win the TNT Title... But I bet it ends up with Jack Perry to push the Bucks story. Bucks will play interference in the ladder match giving their buddy the win :/
