A History of Violence is not nearly as good as I remembered.

Jordan Peele's movies seem scary to me. Much too soon to be in the list of "all time", but I tend to think "Nope" is going bother me for... years? One of the better monster films I can think of.
"Get Out" and "Us" I liked too.

Madness!
I really enjoyed 'Get Out' but I literally laughed aloud in the theater at 'Us.'
That was preposterously dumb to the point that I just 'Noped' on 'Nope.'

I didn't love Us when I first saw it, but it grew on me.
Nope was really great, and Get Out is obviously a modern classic.

I found that the actors did a good job with what they had to work with, but it was just ridiculous. I felt it was a comedy.

Speak No Evil is fun because the family's reactions to the escalating madness is like they threw some normies from the theater audience into the film.
A horror Home Alone of sorts. McAvoy plays the psychopath like no other. Absolute legend.

Did you see the original version? I can't imagine this remake is better even with McAvoy.

Last chance to see Deaner '89 is today/tomorrow at Chinook, looks like that's it for it's run.

I quite liked their last tv series, Age of Computer. This one doesn't have Terry, who has been doing his own YouTube solo stuff. A rift between them?

I'm excited for new Jason content, it's been far too long since the excellent reboot. We should have had several sequels from that timeline. I just feel like this doesn't fit together at all. A24 horror is a different style than the Friday films. I hope the essence of the Friday films remains.

Massive rift
The two haven’t been “involved” for years.
Most of it driven by “Deaner” trying to steal ownership of the Franchise & Characters.
Full disclosure I’ve met and had beers with Dave Lawrence a number of times, both as Terry and as Dave.
Great guy

What exactly does a Friday the 13th prequel series cover though? Is it gonna show his mom killing more kids? The first two movies already cover the rise of Jason pretty well

A raunchy, comedic series that follows a diverse group of misfits seeking to reconnect with their inner child and escape the monotony of their adult lives.
With a mix of slapstick comedy, witty banter, unexpected twists, and a whole lot of nudity, Camp Crystal Lake offers a refreshing and irreverent take on the adult summer camp genre, promising plenty of laughs, cringe-worthy moments, and unforgettable characters.

It will probably try to change the lore and subvert expectations. I fully expect Pamela Vorhees will be the one responsible for Jason's death now in a retcon.
