How is everyone dealing with their finances in this economy?

The courses weren't that hard though. Frankly if your kid can't get through math 30-1 maybe you should consider a brief kumon course or something. I always laughed at the kids in Kumon too, but isn't the goal to set your kid up for the best possible life? Sometimes you need to get them to do things they don't necessarily want to do for that to become reality. Also I would suggest quite heavily that what was "cool" for us 20 years ago or more, is almost certainly not what defines cool or popular now.

I graduated around the same time as you, and didn't even take a 30 level math. It's never held me back and I was certainly not made fun of for it

LOL, there is no one over the age of 12 who would ever want my wife to teach them math. She barely made it through Math 11 in high school and teaching grade 2 kids as she is now is probably where she's best suited in terms of math instruction.

She's great at every other subject and had no problem graduating with a humanities and then eventually an education degree, both with honors. But her math skills are definitely lacking. But it has never remotely been an impediment in two different non-technical career paths.
