I never enable sleep on my computer, I just have it power off the monitor and hard drives. Habit from the days when I used to remote into my home computer sometimes, don't really do that anymore, I guess I should figure out how much electricity that costs me.

So turns out when updating the bios it was never taking. After about a dozen tries the flashback tool worked properly.

We will see... your on notice AMD... your on notice......

God damn it!! Random crashing during the most pivotal moments in a for money tournament in rocket leugue. Back to intel I go! Had am4 was okay went I9 because flex the best now am5 has been sitting the bed since day 45 . A month of this #### is enough. #### amd . Going back to always intel plus nvidia

Am5 for just streaming is fine anything wlse completely unreliable. I'll go back to 13th gen then get 15thnor 16th gen . Maybe if amn5 gets more stable after being in the HTC I'll gon8900x3d or 9800x3d.

In the last week I've sent 33 hours trouble shooting . Enough is enough. I give up I'll drain my loop and replace the mobo and cpu!

I mean it sucks. Even Jays2cents went to 14th gen as his system was doing the same thing. And I bet they are binning reveiwers chips .

Blessing in disguise to be positive. I was running orca slicer and blender today alot. The 7800x3d is a great gaming chip but man was rendering slow today. I don't feel so bad having to go back to a I9 again.

Yeah, I wanted to like my 7800x3d, but constantly having to have memory re-train every startup and just having weird boot issues, I'm now happy with my 14700k.

Although I will throw AMD a bone and stay I'm very happy with my 7900xtx as well, quite happy I haven't given those nvidia bastards any $ for a few years

Those of you with a PC hooked up to an LG OLED TV ever had issues with the PC output not showing up when you turn on the TV. It does this occasionally and only unplugging and replugging the HDMI will make it display. Should I just turn off the sleep setting for the TV?

I haven't had that myself. I have it set to do their screen saver thing after a few minutes but I also have a remote sitting on my desk right in front of it. I have learn to just tap it whenever I get up knowing I'll be away for a bit.

It's only when I turn on the TV. It just says no input. Usually moving the mouse wakes it but sometimes not.

Funny enough I've only had this on Samsung and Sony oleds. The LG I have is a LG flex more game oriented so I have not had this problem.

The frame and aj90k don't have the wake up function like the LG flex. Flex is a tv/moniter purpose hybrid. The frame and aj90k are meant to be tvs . It most definitely a software thing . TV vs moniter different expectations. Different root commands.

I'm really hoping Intel does something to make their CPUs more efficient for the next gen.

Man there are some nice new cases from Fractal this year, I could go with either one! Not sure if either will fit my 4090 FE, will be looking forward to the reviews. Also last time I had a case that needed a SFX or SFX-L power supply the one option I had that would support a 4090 wasn't very quiet, hopefully that's improved.

Surprise surprise switched back to intel and loaded enforce all limits in bios..... not a single problem for over a week now. Couldn't
Go a few hours on am5. Non stop issues for months. I ran the 13900k for about 6 months no problems amd thought the 7800x3d was a smart choice being a better gaming chip at stock lower powers and 3d cache.

Then I bought 10 3d printers and took a legit college course for engineering and solid works . Can't render at speed and then can game on older games like Fallout 4 ,rdr2, far cry 3,4 or 5.

Gaming just killed then cpu after a hour or so

Blessing in deguise tho. Let me add a flow meter, took ot the second reservoir for 2 fans , let me added another 4 tb in storage so ..happy accident because am5 sucked. Will keep the board and cpu for HTC as that was never a problem just any legit work load lol.

My 7800X3D and Gigabyte B650 board have been rock solid since last April.

But I'm not a power user, just built the comp, flashed the BIOS once because of the launch issues and never touched it again.

I've been rolling a 7950x on an AsRock board since launch (~21 months) and haven't had a single issue with performance (slow DDR5 initialization aside...) doing a multitude of power user tasks.

I just think this 3D series is probably bad, it's not an AM5 issue. Or it's a B/620/650/e/pro issue since I'm rolling x670

It looks like a Gen 2 Amazon Echo had sex with a 1994 Creative Labs PC Speaker

Time to upgrade my monitor, a Predator X34. Would like to add a bit more real estate in height, and move away from the ultra wides etc;

40”+, 4K, <5ms, G-Sync.
Recommendations? Prefer to keep it under $1000

That 40"+ at 4K is where you get into a weird space.

42" LG C3 is dropping down to being on sale for that $1300'ish range.

Plenty of options at 32" 4K, but getting into the 40"+ game limits your choices.
