Felix vs. Jack Draper is now essentially an exhibition match, but you have to think Felix wants the win as a little payback for what happened in Cincinnati.

Draper accidently on purpose just tried to plunk Felix at the net. I think there's still some bad blood between these two guys.

Pretty frosty handshake at the net as Felix avenges the loss in Cincinnati beating Jack Draper 7-6(8) 7-5. Oh well, better luck next time Jack.

Now confirmed that Canada has won Group D which hopefully leads to a beneficial seeding. With the States also qualifying for Malaga, it will be interesting to see who from America makes themselves available (Fritz, Paul, Korda, Tiafoe etc.).

How do we convince these guys at slams that they're actually playing for Canada, on an indoor court

I don't think Fontang was in Manchester this past week (at least I didn't see him when they panned the Canadian bench) and Felix played some fine tennis. He certainly prefers to play indoors and said so this week in a post-match interview.

I mean there’s something noble about performing your best when representing your country versus when it’s just your name and the accolades and money are greater.
You see elite players not even bother with these events sometimes, and ours are consistently raising their game for communal glory.

Naomi Osaka should have waited a week to select her new coach as Brad Gilbert is no longer coaching Coco Gauff.

He would look good in Felix's corner.

Canada draws Germany as their first opponent for the Davis Cup finals in Malaga. It will be interesting to see if Zverev plays for Germany as he's a lock for the ATP Finals.
