My kids want to get a leash for our cat to take it outside for walks. I have grave concerns, but decided it's their money and they can do this if they want.

They sleep probably 80-90%% of the time but it just makes me feel better knowing they're alright since I'm away from home for so long. I just installed it a while ago and they're basically liquid in the summer, so I wonder how they'll be in the cooler temperatures.
My cat Sigma likes to be on a leash outside, but I've never been successful at "taking him for a walk". He just likes to chill out and eat grass, and he's always attended. If you start them when they're young, they get used to it. Sigma also LOVES his carrier and gets right in it whenever I take it out, and he loves car rides (in his carrier and buckled up, of course). Just gotta get on it when they're small. So, I basically have two mobile cats that I can take on vacation with me
