Watched a bit of AEW last night, one thing I noted that was really good was the amount of promos and hype for in-ring competition coming up on the program. Jake with the opening segment to set tone for the Archer match, The Cody/Spears promo package was great for getting invested in the match (even though it was nothing special for a ratings perspective), The Omega/Nakazawa/Best Friends segment was good for setting some competitive rivaly, and the "recap" package they did on every current angle and feud was great (in a sequence style).

It's the little things to ensure two things happen that they are getting. One, making sure we remember what the momentum items are on the program in a tight delivery, and two, getting viewers pumped for the weekly show they're about to see.

WWE does a terrible job of promoting feuds and rivalries for matches you don't expect to happen. I find its a waste of my TV time if I see a "random" match that has no build up.
