We were in Mexico years ago for a wedding with about 20 others. Most of us were told that our bags were too heavy and we had to pay. Several of us knew our bags were well under the weight limit as we had weighed them. No one out up much fuss as it’s not worth it. It’s a Mexico “tax.”
