Goods tend to vanish when crossing into or out of Mexico and there's not a lot you can do about it. We made the mistake of sending some $$$ exotic metal parts via Fed-Ex to a customer in mexico only for customs to inspect it and all the parts just vanish with an empty container being delivered to the customer. We now send any goods destined to Mexico to a special broker in Houston that ensures the goods make it to their destination and policy is now to never direct ship anything to that country.
