a jacket w/ removable arms is awesome... I have one... attached with a number of mini mega-magnets. The arms include a shoulder section (which connects together), so when apart it's only 2 pieces. Perfect for those shoulder season or not so cold days. Can't recall if it's a LG. Have used just the removable arms/shoulder section with a different color vest so quite versatile.
Also have a winter GORE jacket with removable sleeves which is freekin' amazing... except it's so warm I can't wear it unless it's colder than -10C. Funny enough have never removed the arms.
