I'm actually disappointed by that trailer. The way people were going on about it, I thought it was going to just destroy me. It did not.
The original killed me when I was younger and it was largely why I avoid shower and sink drains as best I can, but it didn't really hold up much, outside of Tim Currie's performance. He was just incredibly horrifying in it. Very upbeat and comical, almost like a totally normal clown, except for the psychological taunting and torment. This one, based on the admittedly short scenes in the trailer, seem to be going more for shock scares instead.
Having said all that, I will be seeing it, most definitely.
Also - I laughed when the kid ran into that barrier. Probably wrong of me.
Also - the girl in that trailer, that yells out "turn it off" when the projector thing happens, is she related to Tim Currie? I feel like she could be.
