You're correct, it would put him in 27th, ahead of Carreno Busta and Tiafoe. But it's pretty unlikely. Which is unfortunate, because it seems insane to go from a match against the 77th ranked player in the world to a match the 3rd ranked player in the world the following round with nothing in between.

For comparison's sake, Gilles Simon, ranked four spots ahead of Felix, gets to play 18th ranked Fabio Fognini. Wawrinka - ranked just below Felix - is currently playing Cecchinato, the 16th ranked player in the world. Fucsovics, ranked spots below Felix, gets 48th ranked Cameron Norrie, and lest you think that's only because of an upset, had Norrie lost his last match, Fuscovics would have played 56th ranked Mannarino. 42nd ranked Radu Albot gets 14th ranked Medvedev. Those are generally tough matches, sure, but they're decidedly winnable for all of those players and certainly for Felix.

Sometimes the draw just seems really unfair. Granted, Felix isn't the only person to be affected by this, but it's really frustrating.
