What all are you wanting the lights to do? I have a couple of these kits, and once I talk to a buddy who is a roofer (not chicken to go 30 feet up in the air like I am) I will be installing another set along the eave line of the soffit.

The first set I installed in November 2017 and they worked just fine again this winter, they just yellowed a bit. The biggest downside to these strips is you are limited to a few patterns or solid colours. You cannot make them dance or chase.
