so the Trade/Keep Johnny thread has sort of spilled into a coaching discussion and figured it would be best to split that out, because it's interesting and worth further investigation.
with no particular expertise on it, I'm wondering about the "Babcock Coaching Tree" that's been brought up. If I understand correctly, our last two coaches have roots in the school of Babcock, who himself is under fire in Toronto for what's seen as improper skill player utilization.
which then is the real Peters system? the one from last year that was white hot for 4 months and gave them enough of a lead to finish 2nd in the west? or the one we're seeing right now that has the ability to put lots of shots on net, but doesn't appear to generate a ton of truly dangerous chances, and worse is really prone to odd man rushes against?
