It took me a while to get into this one as I found it a little to polished from the onset. I like the grittier aesthetic of BoB and The Pacific. But I'm glad I stuck with it as I'm quite enjoying it now.
It's such an interesting perspective of the war. These guys were basically flying in coffins. I couldn't imagine how they were able to sleep or basically function knowing they were likely going to die or be captured at some point. Just horrifying stuff. So I find it humorous that when they return from a mission they are greeted with doctors and nurses offering them shots of whiskey. Because why the hell not. Their nerves are probably shot lol.
