We're so ****in' far from being a trendsetter in a policy that will be forced upon every country eventually. The earlier each country implements UBI the better off they'll likely be. It maybe even reach a point where countries fall so far economically that they require universal basic income but can no longer afford to do it. It'll get ugly.
Does Canada seem like a country that will be on the forefront of something like that? Not a chance, imo. We're completely stupid by every measure, economically these days.
