I don't have a smart home hub or anything (no interest) but is it possible to just get a smart garage door controller, without actually changing the mechanism that opens or close the door?
Basically I want to be able to check my phone to make sure my garage door is closed 10 minutes after I've left home, and have the ability to close it if I forgot
