Sam Bennett and Anthony Duclair? Kadri, Lindholm and Toffoli are all more highly skilled than those two. The only guy in Florida who is more skilled is Barkov and he played on a different line than Huberdeau. You could even argue that Barkov might play a more structured two way game on his own that didn’t match with Huberdeau.
The problem with Huberdeau is not his linemates, his problem is he can’t seem to generate offence in any system that has a rigid defensive structure. It’s like Huberdeau is only effective when there is complete chaos on the ice and zero structure. Bennett and Duclair have never been confused as strong 200 foot or high IQ players. Huberdeau would thrive as an Oiler.
