Some advice here. I think it's time to replace my 55 inch panasonic plasma. It's about 10 years old now, and want to replace a 42 inch bedroom plasma that is feeling too small. I was really into this kind of stuff a decade ago, but haven't kept up.

If I buy a 65 inch QLED like this for $800, https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-QN65Q...50&sr=8-3&th=1 ,

Am I going to be able to live with it? I am wanting a bigger tv than the 55 inch since it's a pretty big room. I've always loved the plasma picture, and get very distracted and annoyed at grey looking blacks, and lack of shadow detail in cheaper LCD tvs when watching movies or HBO/Netflix/etc dramas.

Is the QLED going to be passable in that regard? Or do I really have to spend 2k on an LG OLED?
