Check that your float is working... ie not bunged up with caked on fat/grease weighing it down. That's the most likely thing IMO. Google/Youtube this. So easy to fix. Second after that is the float switch has reached end of life. Easy to fix if you can find a replacement but at that age... Otherwise perhaps fill-valve or solenoid.
