So here are some ideas:

If they can get Louise plus cards they can get great hotel discounts. Chateau is $189 a nigh midweek. Kids eat free. Other good deals at emerald lake lodge, deer lodge, lake Louise in. You can’t buy them anymore but can find them online.

Lake Louise inn is cheapest in area. Often cheaper than private room in hostel.

Alberta and bc residents get good discounts at chateau. Pre9 is the code.

Emerald lake lodge is really special, and rooms are cheap midweek. But eating there costs a fortune. Truffle Pig in field is superb.

Getting ski and stay rates likely same as a pre-book hotel discount and costco tickets.

Costco cheapest tickets right now.

Banff is cheaper and better for accommodation, but commute sucks. Basically it’s 20-30 minutes before you are on a lift. Food options better in Banff.

Last minute, especially midweek can be great for a room if using Expedia or booking. We’ve had a room in Banff for $69 a night last year, and almost always under $100.

Hope this helps.
