I'll start off as saying that I'm the farthest thing from a horror-aficionado, but...
I really liked Get Out. I thought it had everything that makes a horror/thriller really good.
But Us was bad. I mean laughably bad. Its one of the few movies I went to the theatre for off the strength of 'Get Out' and we were all laughing.
I assumed it was parts that were meant to be laughably bad to blindside you to the more more thrilling parts....but alas 'twas not to be.
So I didnt like that one. At all.
Midsommar...what a ton of wasted potential. So there was so much there that I think they just really didnt do enough with. It was weird and cinematically beautiful but thats about the best I can give it.
I think my feeling at the end was: "What? Thats it?"
