Yes, the Malahat and hwy 14 were shut down. The only way to get around right now is the Mill Bay ferry between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay with the ferry doing sailings through out the night. It is a very small ferry that can only take 19 vehicles and 150 passengers. There have been multiple sailing waits at both terminals all night long. The photo below is from the Village of Brentwood Bay which is approximately two km from the ferry terminal.
