I purchased an iTunes Gift Card today and went to set up an account with iTunes to download an album and when I put my code in I get a message stating "The code you entered is not recognized".

I am putting in the code underneath the silver scratch off part (which I scratched off, so the code seemingly was secure when I purchased it). I have the slip from the place of purchase stating that the card is activated. I am on Canada iTunes trying to purchase from a Canada Gift Card. I have even tried entering the serial number on the card to see if that would work but it does not. It doesn't appear to have an expiry date on the card.

Where am I going wrong here? Aside from trying to legally purchase music for once instead of downloading it?
