I hadn't heard that about working out with Gio. That's a good thing.
I've always been a little curious as to why Monahan wears an A. I guess initially he was considered mature for a young player, and all teams seems to want to elevate their young stars to leadership roles.
I have no insight into locker room dynamics but he has never struck me as a leader type. But what he does, he gets to the hard areas of the ice to score dirty goals and absorbs punishment while doing it. Some folks overlook this.
