Yeah too much of a gap between concept & execution on this. The actor at stampede & all the camera work just didn't jive with the "hardened cowboy kicks back with a corndog" juxtaposition they were trying to achieve.
The character they had walking around comes across like more of a goof than a badass & the mood was too light hearted, came across as pretty bush.
Not sure who's handling the Stampede's marketing, but the last 2 years (2010-2011) have both been underwhelming compared to
2009's Comedown Getaway campaign.
